We innovate constantly to help the biggest names in business do business quicker and smarter and we apply the same vision and focus to the way we do business. You’ll be managing strategic projects that impact our ability to turn contracts and bills into cash and make it easy for our customers to do business with us. You’ll play a vital role representing the Finance Billing to Cash organization as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a wide range of initiatives coming from marketing and IT. You will be working creatively with other SMEs to embrace new projects, processes, and changes, and drive solutions that improve our accuracy and efficiency.
Leading major IT infrastructure projects to increase automation for processes ranging from contract processing to production billing to accounts receivable and collections.
Representing the organization in project meetings and helping to define Finance Billing to Cash requirements.
Leading the full life cycle of projects including approving designs, user testing, implementation and post mortems.
Leading meetings and calls to discuss projects, escalate issues and report on progress to user communities and executive leadership.
Identifying and resolving system production issues and analyzing root causes.
Overseeing about 16,000 shipping claims annually reported by the Indirect Agents.
Partnering with Supply Chain on ~387k annual defective device returns and ensuring that our Indirect Agents are compensated upon receipt of devices.
Owning our drop-ship equipment distributor billing process to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Partner with Supply Chain, Accounting, National Distribution, Legal, Credit Risk, FP&A, and GTS to be the voice of Corporate Billing & Collections.
Engage with our customers, including top level leadership, to understand their business and the financial health of their business.
Ensure Verizon’s Receivables balance is protected in the event of Indirect Agent terminations and acquisitions.
Present to external stakeholders and upper level management on hot topics, key priorities, strategic initiatives, among other projects.
Challenge the team by identifying opportunities in their professional development and provide coaching along the way.
Hold team meetings on a regular basis to ensure team cohesion and clearly align on expectations.
You are well organized and detail oriented and like working independently to balance multiple competing priorities. You’re also a creative problem solver and enjoy driving automated solutions to improve customer interactions. Tailoring your written and verbal communications to the needs of your audience enables you to have an impact at all levels including user communities, other SMEs and leadership.
You’ll need to have:
A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Project management experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A Master's degree.
PMP certification.
Experience with Billing to Cash functions.
