This opportunity is a 12 month paid training program available for candidates who are currently enrolled in a pre-apprenticeship bootcamp or similar training or who are interested in pursuing an apprenticeship with the potential to convert into a full-time permanent role upon successful completion of the program. What you’ll be doing...

This position – which is part of the Verizon Thrive Apprenticeship Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 1 year apprentice experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects across various teams within Verizon that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program while preparing you to work as a developer at a technology company.

Business Function: The Enterprise Architect and Technology Engineering team is responsible for aiding with the adoption of DevOps and GenAI Automation, as well as developing automated business operations based on data insights.

Technology: Proficient in creating solutions for data collecting, cleansing, manipulation, statistical analysis, visualization, and reporting, with a focus on generating actionable insights. Employs statistical approaches and computer languages such as SQL, Python, and R to extract actionable insights, create data visualizations with tools like Looker, Qlik, and Power BI, and convey crucial findings to stakeholders, thereby promoting data-driven decision-making within businesses.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Associate’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Demonstrated interest in technology.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Previous related internship or work experience.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.

• Proficiency in Google Slides, Docs, Sheets.

• This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
