What You'll be doing...
Verizon connects people across wireless and wireline networks. We're looking for a Program/Project Manager to join our Consumer Strategy team and contribute to projects that guide key decisions for Verizon's leadership. Our team plays a vital role in developing strategic recommendations at the highest levels of the company.
You'll be an important part of our team, supporting strategy, planning, and business development. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visions and offer insights on crucial strategic choices. You'll have the opportunity to manage projects and make progress with guidance, including creating narratives, conducting analyses, and preparing communications for review. You'll also help develop practical suggestions and contribute to discussions about the implications of analysis, identifying potential challenges and best practices. You'll work alongside team members on each project, assisting with implementation.
This role is engaging and offers a variety of projects. We're looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative and contributing to the growth of our Strategy portfolio. You will partner with leadership, offering thoughtful insights and helping to drive solutions with clear analysis.
Our team works together and is organized into topic areas. While we all understand strategy, each team member also brings unique expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with team members on each project, assisting with implementation.
Helping to turn insights into action, moving strategic recommendations towards execution.
Supporting the strategic planning process and other activities (e.g., resource allocation, planning, product development).
Assisting in translating strategy into action through initiatives.
Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform our strategy.
Collaborating with teams to move initiatives forward.
Helping senior leadership with analyses, actions, and messaging.
Using data analysis to support recommendations.
Leading projects independently, including research, analysis, and suggestions.
Supporting the preparation of materials for meetings and events.
Leading initiatives and working with teams.

You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Two or more years of project management experience.
Experience managing multiple projects.
Experience working in a large organization, where relationships and collaboration are key.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Curiosity and a desire to build relationships.
Analytical curiosity.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills.
Even better if you have one ore more of the following:
Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Consulting or strategy experience.
Strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
Stakeholder management experience.
A collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Knowledge of handling confidential information.
Ability to travel as needed.
