    Leidos is seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst Intern.

    Do you want to learn more about Vulnerability Management in an exciting fast paced and friendly environment?    The Vulnerability Management Program is looking for the right candidate that will participate as a summer Intern and will be introduced to Vulnerability Management, which will include:

    • Discovering and detecting vulnerabilities

    • Assessing and Prioritizing vulnerability remediation

    • Working with system owners for vulnerability remediation

    • Building reports and dashboards

    • Learn and use several vulnerability applications and tools

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead a start-to-finish project ending with a presentation as part of the internship

    • Work under supervision and direction of senior members of the Vulnerability Management Program

    • Participate in the assessment and prioritization of vulnerabilities identified in the environment

    • Assisting with the design and implementing of dashboards and data visualizations for system owners.

    • Identifying, designing, and driving automation projects for vulnerability management tasks

    • Monitoring threat intelligence feeds to identify and triage new threats and vulnerabilities

    • Work with the Vulnerability and Configuration Scanning to identify and prioritize remediation of security flaws and vulnerabilities in systems, network devices, websites, and source code

    • Interface with cross-functional teams to participate in security projects and initiatives

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related degree from an accredited educational institution, and have completed at least three years of an undergraduate curriculum.

    • Basic understanding of computer networks, systems, and how to identify vulnerabilities

    • Organized and self-directed

    • Willingness to work as part of a team

    • Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and self-directed learning, including researching

    • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time

    • This is a Teleworking (Remote) Position

    • U.S. Citizenship is required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3.0 GPA.

    • Experience with any vulnerability scanning tools

    • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10

    • Knowledge of NIST frameworks

    • Any Professional Certifications

    • Any programming knowledge

    • Experience with one or more of the major cloud computing environments

    • Experience with vulnerability management scoring methodologies

    • Experience with application security frameworks

    PAY RANGE:

    • $44,200.00 - $68,000.00 - $91,800.00

    The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
