In addition to the experience acquired on the job, summer interns have the opportunity to learn directly from senior management and participate in webinars, discussion forums, and networking receptions.

The Corporate Communications Team has the goal of positioning AIG worldwide as a leading insurer, a respected brand, a transparent and responsible company, and an employer of choice. With a focus on internal, external, and digital communications, the team promotes consistency and excellence in communications across all platforms

The intern will work on various projects relating to Corporate Communications including external, employee and corporate marketing initiatives. Duties include coordinating projects, researching and developing content ideas for social and digital channels, real time social listening, monitoring digital media channels, tracking and reporting digital media campaign analytics, content calendar management, working with the brand, sponsorship, creative, and media relations teams, and developing processes to improve overall external and employee engagement. Candidates must be articulate, highly motivated, and detail oriented in order to succeed in this role.

Summer interns establish goals with their managers during the first week, and the goals are measured at the mid and end points of the summer. Successful summer interns may be considered for full-time analyst positions to begin in 2019.
