An Engineering Intern will be responsible for supporting the company’s Carelon Digital Platforms team. During the program our Interns will receive an orientation to the company and engage in challenging projects evolving around the rapidly changing healthcare tech industry. Interns are paired with industry professionals and mentors and will be given opportunities to stretch their skills and enrich their knowledge base to achieve a greater understanding within technology.

Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship program (May 19th- August 8th).
Enrolled in an approved academic program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or a related field of study.
Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
For the Veteran internship, candidates do not need to be students as military experience and training can be substituted for educational experience.

Students will be assigned to a specific group within the Carelon Digital Platforms organization based on skill set and need of the business. Students should have experience and education in:
Critical thinking and analytical skills
Proficiency in technical aspects of computer and software engineering
Knowledge of various technologies such as, but not limited to Java, Python, C++, Software Development & Testing, Software Development & Architecture, Cloud Computing, APIs, Database Management, AI, ML, AWS, Snowflake, RDBMS, Dev Ops
Ability to convey the problem and solution pictorially using Powerpoint, Miro or other equivalent technologies.
Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Proven analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities
