You're the brains behind our work.
You're ready to bring your knowledge from the classroom to the boardroom, and Citi wants to help you get there. Whether it's honing your skills or building your network, we know that success can't come without growth. Our programs equip you with the knowledge and training you need to play a valuable role on your team, and establish a long-term career here. At Citi, we value internal mobility, and career growth is not a question of if, but when. Citi's Global Consumer Banking division is looking for full-time Analysts to join the Citi Cards team. Credit and debit cards started as a convenient way to pay for things, but they have become so much more than that. Cards can make you shop at a certain store more than other stores, give you valuable loyalty rewards, and even serve as status symbols. Many steps are involved in moving a credit card from idea to reality, and the following teams are involved in different ways: Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Risk Management, Decision Management, and the Chief Operating Office. A lot of people don't think twice about the cards that are sitting in their wallets, but you will have a behind-the-scenes look at how they come about.
We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
We're committed to teaching you the ropes. The two-year Analyst Program starts in June and begins with a three-week, in-depth training program. After a placement process, based on your interests, and our needs, you will be matched with a Cards team to work with for the next two years. While you're in the Analyst role, you will participate in Citi's mentorship program, which will provide further training and guidance during and after the Program.
Your time here will look something like this...
Depending on the Cards team you join, you will get experience in one of the following areas: Sales & Marketing- There are hundreds of other cards out there. Why should a customer pick Citi’s? Every card has its own personality, and the Sales & Marketing team’s job is to match customers with the cards that best fit their lifestyle. This means engaging customers early, increasing customer purchase sales, and deepening engagement with clients.
Product Management- The Product Management team’s job is to get inside the head of the consumer. They answer questions like: How can we make Citi’s cards stand out from the crowd? And, what kind of perks should a card come with? This team works hard not only to create exciting new products and benefits, but also to negotiate mutually beneficial business partnerships with companies like American Airlines, AT&T, Expedia, Hilton, and numerous other companies on behalf of our customers.
Risk Management- At the core of the credit cards industry, are people borrowing money. As expected, there is always some kind of a risk when lending people money. Our Risk Management team looks at different types of customers and gives advice on who to lend money to and how much credit to give.
Decision Management- Meet our fact checkers. Our Decision Management team is made up of the kinds of people who will never take your word for it. That suits them well because they need to objectively analyze information to give actionable advice to our business leaders. By looking at the facts, our Decision Management team can tell where there are opportunities for revenue growth and partnerships.
Chief Operating Office (COO)- The Chief Operating Office touches a little bit of everything. Like the glue that holds it all together, the COO supports a number of cards business initiatives, including how to manage business practices, regulatory relations, and communications. The team also works across Citi’s functions to manage portfolios and deliver Citi services to clients.
