    EXPEDIA GROUP COMMERCIAL INTERN (AUSTIN, TX/CHICAGO, IL)

    In Expedia for Business (E4B), we manage Expedia Group’s business-to-business (B2B) relationships - ranging from large airlines, hotels, vacation rentals, cruises, car rentals, financial institutions, travel agents and more - which connect partners with all that EG offers in pursuit of their goals.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    Our Commercial Interns take summer placements in any of our 4 commercial teams below. Read on to find out more about what’s done in some of these E4B areas, like our Lodging Account Management, Media & Brand Partnerships, and Strategic Travel Partner teams:

    As part of our Lodging Account Management team, you’ll be part of developing and sustaining strong partner relationships as a trusted advisor to drive revenue and partner engagement. You’ll additionally assist your team in growing and optimizing an account portfolio focusing on the adoption of EG's full suite of products and tools. Using a consultative approach to uncover the needs of an account and aligning the best solution to add value to the partner and the traveler.  

    Within our Media & Brand Partnerships team, you’ll be maximizing territory revenue by developing new revenue‐producing partner relationships and retaining and expanding existing partnerships. You’ll be uncovering partner needs by listening to partners, analyzing internal data, and exploring external sources and matching partners with the optimal bundle of available features and benefits to meet their needs.

    Our Strategic Travel Partners team manages the end-to-end relationships with our large travel partners that sell on our platform – across airlines, hotel chains, activity providers ground transport, and cruise – as well as our supply operations and global distribution systems. You’ll be delivering exceptional value to travelers and partners through strategic relationships and solutions.

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • Available to start on May 23rd or June 20th, 2022, for a 10-week program 
    • Permanent authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
    • Currently enrolled in a 4-year university graduating in December 2022 or Spring 2023 with a business degree (e.g., Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Economics) 
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners and develop strong, lasting client relationships (internal and external).
    • High impact personality: intellectual agility, entrepreneurship, compassion in relationship, great teammate
    • Organization and time management skills, rigor, attention to details
    • Ability to multi-task effectively and be able to change gears quickly without skipping a beat
