    Grants Data Associate Location: Ron Olson Justice Center Salary: DOE Availability: Immediately Application Deadline: Continuous until the position is filled Program Description The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) is the frontline law firm for low-income people in Los Angeles and is currently accepting applications for the position of Grants Data Associate. LAFLA seeks to achieve equal justice for poor and low-income people in greater Los Angeles. We change lives through direct representation, systems change, and community education. LAFLA has an annual operating budget of more than $16 million and operates five neighborhood offices and several off-site locations. For more information, please visit www.lafla.org Position Reporting to the Chief Development and Marketing Director, the Grants Data Associate will serve as the data collection and reporting specialist for a specific portfolio of grants; will engage in compliance reporting, spearhead grant audits and support special project initiatives. This position requires strong data analysis, project management skills, with an emphasis on grant compliance and outcome measurement. Qualifications * BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years experience with grants in a nonprofit environment; * Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in an effective and efficient manner; * Demonstrated computer literacy, with very strong word processing, accounting spreadsheet, database and internet research skills; * Detail-oriented, with strong organizational ability; * Ability to collaborate effectively as a team player; * Self-starter with initiative to overcome obstacles and recommend solutions to problems; and * Ability to work under pressure and respond to deadlines without sacrificing quality. Examples of Duties * Support grant reporting for Federal, State and Foundation cost reimbursable grants with online databases requiring detailed data entry; * Work closely with Fiscal staff to ensure timely submission of invoices and monitor grant spending; * Work with IT staff to generate case statistics and other outcome data and develop reporting forms; * Process grants contracts; * Track all grant related travel; * Assist management in coordinating site visits and audits with funders and prepare staff for such meetings; * Run monthly grant reports in consultation with Managing Attorneys; * Collect and track quarterly data on workgroup outreach events and seminars; and * Assist the Grants Manager, Chief Development & Marketing Director and Executive Director on grant and development related projects as needed.
