    About the Role

    The Pro Bono & Community Engagement Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Attorney Development team. This role will be responsible for supporting the firm’s pro bono and community engagement programs as part of the firm’s Global Citizenship department , while conducting pro bono matter tracking and coordinating the collection of closure letters, matter updates, pro bono outcomes, and victory announcements. This role will be located in either our New York, Washington D.C. or Boston office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications

    Other key responsibilities include:

    • Collaborating with the relevant attorney teams, firm departments, Pro Bono Committees, and the pro bono leadership team on engagement letters, closure letters, attorney departures, and re-staffing of ongoing pro bono matters
    • Running conflict checks and reports and analyzing data for the pro bono leadership team and attorney requestors
    • Coordinating pro bono events, trainings, and clinics, including tracking RSVPs and arranging rooms, calendar invitations, announcements, speakers, and food
    • Ordering and coordinating the shipment and deliveries of pro bono materials and awards to firm offices
    • Processing and administering charitable contributions at the request of the pro bono leadership team, and completing all tasks associated with external events sponsored by the Pro Bono Committee
    • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

    We’d love to hear from you if you:

    • Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as ability to interact and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with people at all organizational levels of the firm
    • Demonstrate the ability to develop knowledge of internal decision makers, stakeholders, administrators, and other relevant contacts
    • Exhibit the ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus

    And have:

    • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent
    • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant administration experience

    Pay Range

    USD $55,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
