    Job Description

    The Technical Project Manager role at CapTech is multi-faceted by the very nature of the services we provide to our clients. Success within our diverse range of clients requires the ability to adapt and perform in a wide variety of technology-driven project environments.

    Specific responsibilities for the Technical Project Manager position may include, but are not limited to:

    • Serve as a delivery lead for cross-functional team(s), bringing together the business, the delivery team, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful business outcomes and ensure successful project delivery.

    • Sharing and implementing best practices from different development methodologies (ex: Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models) as needed by project.

    • Establish collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders to facilitate conversations and enable decision making.

    • Demonstrated track record of successful ability to manage large and complex consulting engagements.

    • Creative thinking and seeking innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.

    • Develop and communicate integrated project plans and/or roadmaps to establish, monitor, manage, and report key milestones, risks, and deliverables.

    • Identify and mitigate risks to the project delivery and support the triage and resolution of critical issues that arise throughout the project.

    • Perform hands-on delivery work, including analysis, design, process engineering, and change management, as needed by the project.

    • Desire to share with and develop a community of project managers and leaders.

    • Proven account management or other relevant experience.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Typical experience for successful candidates includes:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Experience in both agile and traditional project or program management roles.

    • Demonstrated track record of successful management of large and complex technology projects.

    • Experience in successfully facilitating stakeholder discussions and driving towards specific outcomes.

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in project or program management role, preferably with full agile development life cycle experience.

    • Implement creative thinking and seek innovative solutions to complex technical/business problems.

    • Ability to establish credibility and trust with clients through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Excellent communication skills, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

    • Proficient at managing and leading diverse teams made up of people with a variety of technical skills and backgrounds, in different locations (i.e., remote and/or on-site), and from different organizations (i.e., CapTechers, client employees, and/or other vendors).

    Training and Certification

    Successful candidates usually have relevant training and/or certifications through some of the following organizations:

    • Project Management Institute (PMI)

    • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

    • Agile Alliance
