    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Primary Responsibility :

    The Americold Summer Internship is a 12-week, full-time, paid assignment that takes place over the summer months. During this time, our Interns gain valuable knowledge related to their area of interest (i.e. Operations, Distribution, Finance, Internal Audit, etc.), while contributing to one of the COOLest business sectors. The internship includes assignments on challenging and industry-specific projects, plus the opportunity to network with organizational leaders, colleagues, and peers.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Assist with preparation of routine legal documents prepared by the legal group (Bailee Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Warehouse Services Agreements and Lease Agreements)

    • Review proposed and final contracts for key provisions and their effects within the business environment

    • Assist in response to claims and/or subpoenas

    • Complete research of legal matters as required

    • Prepare memoranda and charts regarding research or contract reviews

    • Other duties as requested, including work with contract databases, revising forms used by legal department, and assistance with compliance projects

    What Experience and Education You Need:

    • Client service orientation and self-starting demeanor

    • High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement

    • Ability to work on teams as well as on individual assignments

    • Desire to gain professional experience; eager to learn; strong work ethic

    • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail

    • Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills

    • Proficient in using MS Office Suite such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    What Could Set You Apart:

    • Presently a rising 2L or 3L law student at an accredited law school

    • Completed coursework in Uniform Commercial Code is a preferred plus

    • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required

    • Relevant work experience is a plus

    • Local student to the Atlanta office

    • Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management.
