  • Responsibilities

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    As an PV&V ENGINEER working for The John Deere Construction and Forestry (C&F) Division in Dubuque, IA, you will perform engine, cooling and HVAC verification and validation (PV&V) testing and analysis work for off-highway equipment. In addition, you will: 

    • Work closely with cross functional teams to design, verify and validate engine, cooling, and HVAC components and systems to meet customer requirements
    • Execute test and analysis plans for product verification and validation throughout all phases of projects
    • Partner with product development teams to identify creative and efficient solutions to resolve technical issues
    • Gain experience with Construction and Forestry equipment
    • Learn and apply Company engineering policies, standards and practices

  • Qualifications

    WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

    • Engineering experience obtained through projects, internships or practical work experience
    • Basic knowledge and familiarity with off road or diesel engines and/or cooling systems
    • Ability to clearly communicate technical data and project updates through written reports and meeting presentations
    • Desire to learn from others in a team environment

    WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

    • Knowledge and experience in test and evaluation
    • Design or application experience with engine, cooling, or HVAC systems
    • Advanced data analysis or computer programming skills
    • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis tools
    • Effective time management skills demonstrated within a multi-functional team
    • Advanced engineering degree

    EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE)

    Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or BS Degree in a Science discipline with equivalent experience in engines and thermal systems.
