    Primary Location: United States (US) - Oregon (US-OR) - Portland  Function: Supply Management / Logistics Title: Shipping Coordinator - 35245

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a SHIPPING COORDINATOR, for John Deere, you will request, schedule, batch and print packing lists, pick tickets and/or shipping labels, from the warehouse computer system, to prepare orders for picking, packing and shipping.  In addition, you will:

    • Determine the order assignment by taking into consideration the order type, cutoff times and order volume.
    • Determine priorities using predetermined lead times and controls the picking and packing of orders as to level of emergency and through put capacity of the different warehouse zones.
    • Monitor the order levels and inform warehouse supervision of changes in parts picking requirements. May plan and assign the workload for each Picker/Packer.
    • Analyze and schedule available warehouse dealer orders according to predetermined criteria, by type and shipping mode through the scheduling system.
    • Order supplies and maintain/monitor records regarding these expenses.
    • Maintain shipping documentation of all Hazardous Material and Export shipments.
    • Work a second shift of 11:00 am – 7:30 pm

    WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED

    • Experience using standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience analyzing data using spreadsheets, pivot tables and queries
    • Experience working with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communicator with excellent coordination skills
    • Experience with data entry and able to navigate multiple computer systems and identify trends and gaps between them
    • Experience managing multiple demands at a time
    • Experience with problem solving and being able to react in a quick matter

    WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

    Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

    • Experience working in one or more operations support functions such as warehousing, logistics, ect.
    • APS knowledge and skill set to schedule orders within the warehouse
    • Experience working directly with customers and carriers in a professional manner

    EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT WORK EXPERIENCE)

    • Ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management disciplines or equivalent experience.
