Job Description The Payroll Tax Analyst , Unemployment Tips Reporting Payroll Tax Analyst, has a full range of responsibilities for employment tax compliance related to state unemployment, tips, foreign visa holders, software maintenance, and general tax law research for lodging and corporate entities. Specifically, the Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for the following: + Providing accurate and timely state unemployment tax returns + Reviewing the accuracy and timeliness of tax returns and deposits as submitted in the review process + Ensuring compliance with internal control responsibilities of all tax review and table maintenance processes under their responsibility + Constantly working with payroll software systems with emphasis on periodic maintenance, updating tax rates, and generating the appropriate employee or employer data + Working on F1 J1 visa holders of hotel properties relative to documentation, processing, database management, audit and coordination with properties + Dealing with Federal Lock in Letters and coordination with property managers and/or employees + Implementing tax return amendments such as Form W 2c or Form W 2 reissues + Researching relevant tax laws and regulations + General administrative work Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED + Minimum of 1 year of Accounting experience Preferred : + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline + Strong abilities in Excel spreadsheet analysis + Experience in payroll or tax data management and software maintenance + Wide experience in analyzing, navigating and resolving state tax notices + Understanding of payroll tax processes, including compliance, research and analysis, and federal state local payroll tax forms Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Accenture (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status).
