    Job Description:

    Crowe Corporate Development:

    Crowe’s Office of Corporate Development is a critical component to the firm’s strategic growth strategy for executing inorganic growth initiatives for Crowe business units (“BU”) and industry verticals (“IV”). Crowe has a full-time corporate development team focused on identifying, executing, closing, and integrating acquisitions for Crowe, as well as leading other strategic corporate initiatives including joint ventures and strategic alliances. Since 2017, we have completed 11 acquisitions that have expanded Crowe’s service line offerings, geographic presence, client base, and professional staff.

    Job Responsibilities:

    The Corporate Development Intern will be an integral part of the Office of Corporate Development to help produce and maintain a robust M&A pipeline from internal and external deal sources and from his/her own research. The Intern will work closely with the five-person Corporate Development team, BU/IV leaders, and firm leadership to work on the following activities:

    • Acquisition pipeline development, tracking and outreach
    • Relevant industry sector, economic and target company research
    • Financial modeling
    • Valuation / benchmarking analyses
    • Investment summary memos
    • Transaction proposal letters
    • Business and confirmatory due diligence review of acquisition targets
    • Post-closing integration planning

    Position Requirements:

    We are looking for highly resourceful and analytical undergraduate college students with the following attributes:

    • GPA Requirement: 3.5
    • Intellectually curious with passion for learning
    • Self-starter with strong organization and time management skills
    • Analytical and creative thinker
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Ambitious and capable of working in small teams
    • Experience with Microsoft Office tools --- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
    • Undergraduate business major candidates – Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration

    Preferences Include:

    • Fundamental understanding of 3-way statements, financial modeling, and enterprise valuation methodologies
    • Basic knowledge of mergers and acquisition transactions
    • Career interests in one of or more of the following: corporate development, investment banking, private equity, management consultant, entrepreneurship, public accounting

    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20-$30.00.
