An introduction to the FSO’s Information Technology Advisory Services practice:
The FSO’s Information Technology Advisory Services (ITAS) practice provides business-driven technology advisory services to financial institutions and other capital markets participants, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers (traditional and alternative), insurance and other financial institutions. The service offerings provided by the ITAS practice include strategic technology, technology enablement, information management, market, credit and operational risk, security, program advisory, and process and controls. The ITAS team includes individuals who have deep industry, product and client knowledge.
Within ITAS, our Application Quality Management Services practice focuses on IT quality transformation and application test delivery. Working collaboratively with our clients, this team:
Works with clients to drive transformational change in the way the clients deliver application testing services in their organizations
Defines the test strategy for large programs, large projects, or complex products or solutions
Plans and implements testing and quality assurance activities on testing projects
Estimates the effort and cost for a large complex test solution
Architects approaches for complex projects
Works with business organizations to facilitate UAT
Supports sales efforts by responding to RFPs
Develops client relationships across multiple levels

Our broader Delivery Center group focuses on connecting business and technology in order to provide solutions to improve our client’s technology architecture and systems and address complex issues, IT strategy and performance. Within Delivery Center, our Technology team specializes on assisting clients with mission-critical technology issues. Specifically, our experienced practitioners deliver advice and support across the technology lifecycle, spanning many of the following competency areas:

What this means for you:
The Quality Assurance Analyst will work in our testing organization and will be responsible for delivery of quality-assured applications to production. The selected candidate will be involved in interpreting business and technical requirements and executing testing activities across the testing organization for a given customer portfolio. This position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative and regular management of changing priorities. Occasional nighttime and weekend work is required for the position.
Job responsibilities:
Participate in all testing phases, including functional, system, integration and user acceptance (UAT)
Create regression test cases for business process flows
Perform through analysis of requirements specifications and design documents using structured techniques to identify testable conditions
Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
Conduct tests and undertake analysis of results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client requirements

Report directly to Senior QA Analyst/QA Manager, as appropriate
Support Senior QA Analyst/QA Manager in upward stakeholder management and day-to-day management of the testing organization
Responsible for QA delivery of cases, scripts, results
Work closely with offshore teams to deliver projects to time, cost and quality requirements
Adopt a logical and organized approach to problem resolution
Ability to clearly articulate both problems and proposed solutions
Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements
Good numerical/mathematical ability
Proactive approach in identifying issues and presenting solutions and options
Ability to prioritize personal workloads to best meet organizational objectives
Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, general business, technology or related field preferred
Strong academic record, including, without limitation, course work that EY deems relevant to this position
Zero to one year of relevant work experience
Ability to meet deadlines while simultaneously working on multiple projects
Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment
Experience with analyzing and solving problems of a complex nature
Experience working with business, management and technology concepts
Flexible and willing to travel (up to 25%), as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary
Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
