    The Accounts Payable Subject Matter Expert plays a prominent consultative role with new clients, leading client workshops including Process Transformation engagements, solution validation, Accounts Payable components in orals and RFP responses, demonstrating deep process knowledge and explaining how work will be delivered with IBM. The SME is responsible for reviewing solutions and, prior to sign off, communicating risks and assumptions to delivery leadership.
    For delivery operations, the SME implements best practices, leverages Robotics process Automation, technology, analytics and Accounts Payable tools effectively and work with clients to evaluate process changes that will improve performance. Frequently the SME will engage in day to day support of operational teams when performance requires improvement, and drive Accounts Payable transformation during transition to realize accelerated benefits.
    In addition to the above responsibilities, the SME develops and modifies process bluebooks, solutions standards, SLA and Internal Control standards, and process maturity models. The SME also drives clear and concise communication within the team , and concise executive level reports to client management

    Skills

    • Strong consultative skills leading client workshops and Accounts Payable consulting engagements.
    • Understands and applies knowledge of F&A Accounts Payable programs, technology, Robotics, policies, and practices to resolve critical issues or develop new/complex programs
    • Understands organizational resources, priorities, needs and policies, and unique requirements of Accounts Payable processes
    • Client facing skills with senior executives (client and internally)
    • Has in-depth knowledge and experience in executing business processes, management and measurement systems
    • Ability to contribute to an outcomes based and customer focused environment
    • Possesses broad proficiency control requirements
    • Thought leadership in in designing future state delivery and strategies for attaining them
    • Understands future employee, industry and F&A trends and applies this understanding to develop solutions
    • Ability to interpret and evaluate business results and alerts executives of impacts (client and internally)
    Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree (Master’s referred) or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related and at least seven years of experience as an Accounts Payable Subject Matter Expert or related.
