Corporate Business Services Fairfax, VA Job Description Are you a Help Desk Specialist seeking a new opportunity? ICF needs you to work in our Corporate Information Technology (CIT) organization. You will provide desk-side support and setup of IT hardware (laptops, monitors, A/V, printers, etc.) and software for the ICF employee user community, including multiple levels of users, management, and technical staff in the Fairfax, VA office. Key Responsibilities: Coordinates the desk-side installation and/or upgrade of computer hardware and associated software Provides basic technical support to staff including some software troubleshooting and support Answers questions by applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned Assists with walk-in customers Assist with Corporate IT special projects Some shift work or after-hours may be required Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience 1 year of related experience supporting computers and peripherals such as printers, monitors, docking stations and AV equipment. Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows O/S (Windows 7 and Windows 10) and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with Dell / HP hardware Experience with Mac OS Familiarity with A/V equipment and/or Skype for Business Professional Experience: Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skill Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to understand clients problems and ask appropriate questions for clarification Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams Customer service skills, particularly when handling difficult situations Excellent documentation and ability to maintain accurate records Provide prompt and accurate information to customers including follow up Enthusiasm, a passion for team working, and a can do attitude ICF offers an excellent benefits package, an award winning talent development program, and fosters a highly skilled, energized and empowered workforce.
