    Undergraduate Intern / Co-op Program Overview:

    • 3-month Facilites Engineering co-op assignment for the fall semester within a functional area of MKS Instruments that provides students a comprehensive and engaging experience from before your program starts to after the program ends.

    A Day in Your Life at MKS:

    We are looking for an exceptional Facilities Engineering intern/co-op who can assist the facilities management team with maintenance scheduling and tracking, installation of new equipment, installation of electrical and water piping systems, and coordination of maintenance and construction contractors. The top candidates will have experience with or demonstrated ability to learn and use facilities management software programs such as CAD (Computer Aided Design) and BMS (Building Management System.)

    Principal Responsibilities:

    • Verify and update the electrical schematics of the different facilities in Visio and/or AutoCAD.
    • Verify and update the AutoCAD layout drawing files of the different facilities.
    • Support the facilities department on projects and facility upgrades.
    • Document control and process procedures in the different facilities.

Additionally, we are looking for candidates:

    • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or relevant majors;
    • Able to work 40+ hours per week, including up to 50% walking/standing time, and ability to climb a 10-foot ladder;
    • Have experience/familiarity with AutoCAD;
    • Able to understand control or electrical circuits and drawings;
    • Have initiative, resiliency, and flexibility;
    • Have time-management and organizational skills.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 to 29.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

    Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
