A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Quality Engineering Assistant at Ophir USA (Logan), you will partner with Quality Engineering to contribute to the site's ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 17025:2017 compliance. In this role, you will report to the site's Principal Quality Engineer. This is a part time (20hrs per week) position.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Perform root cause analysis on product failures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve products
• Updating of controlled documentation
• Modification of processes to maintain standards compliance
• Auditing of processes and systems
• Identify and implement opportunities for improvement
• Travel Requirements: No travel expected for this position.

Skills You Bring:

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with an Engineering discipline - Manufacturing and Industrial majors preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.)
• Analytical mindset

Preferred Skills:

• Problem solving experience
• Laser, Optics, Photonics experience desirable
• Experience with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17025:2017 standards
• Experience in a calibration lab or manufacturing environment

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
• Must be able to exchange accurate information
• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Operates in a professional office environment
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Noise level in the work environment is usually average
