Job Summary: The person hired for this position will assume responsibility for initiating and performing defined quality activities for products manufactured in the Brownwood, TX facility leading to new or improved processes/systems. The chosen candidate will be the metrology coordinator and support statistical process control deployment. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Metrology Coordinator - Maintain compliance of test equipment and recommend upgrades or acquisition of new equipment as needed. * Driving continual quality improvement using engineering best practice, statistical techniques, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. * Supporting the deployment of process and tools (e.g. SPC with DPQX) to control the Process and Raw Material variables to target and minimize product variation. * Leading and executing quality improvement projects. * Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: * Possess a Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution * Minimum of two (2) years of combined quality and/or manufacturing environment experience in a private, public, government or military environment Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelors degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Math/Statisticsnbsp;or related discipline from an accredited institution * Manage QMS metrology system for the plant * Experience with applied data analysis and/or Statistical Process Control (SPC) * Experience with ISO9001-2015 expectations * Demonstrated ability to lead teams and lead continual improvement * Ability to prioritize and drive projects to completion * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written skills Location:nbsp; Brownwood, Texas Travel:nbsp; May include up to 10% domestic and international Relocation:nbsp; Is authorizednbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without a sponsorship for employment visa status (e.e.
