  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Responsible for managing major activities and projects related to the identification, launch, and growth of new business opportunities for the company. Analyzes information and develops recommendations for new initiatives, alliances, and partnerships.

    This role leads a team of Business Development Representatives and as such leadership and managerial responsibilities include:

    Lead a geographically dispersed team of Business Development Representatives.

    • Accountable for the overall performance of the Business Development Representatives in meeting individual performance metrics as well as overall team performance expectations in driving new business leads into the Sales Team
    • Assign territories, quotas, and Key Performance Indicators for your BDR team.
    • Hire
    • Train on RRD Solutions as well as the BDR process,
    • Serve as ongoing day to day coach and manage performance of team to and above expectations
    • Guide team members through any performance management concerns
    • Uphold company policies and employment laws

    •Effectively represent RRD through:

    • Comprehensive knowledge of RRD solutions
    • Building and executing sales plans that align with company goals

    •Demonstrate Fiscal Responsibility through:

    • Management of assigned budgets (staff, expense, etc.)
    • Accurate sales forecasting
    • Accurate and attainable quota setting

    Drive growth and new business opportunities

    Functional Business Development Responsibilities:

    • Perform market research to identify, evaluate and launch new growth opportunities.
    • Act as a project manager with respect to new opportunities by constructing an initial business case, identifying/researching potential partners, coordinating market research, and coordination with marketing to develop sales and marketing materials.
    • Identifies what is important to track within their selected markets and reports on developments.
    • Tracks and reports various performance metrics and modifies projections as appropriate based on insights drawn from industry events, customer behavior, technology developments, etc.
    • Provides ongoing competitive intelligence on competitors.
    • Perform other duties and participate in special projects as required.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field.
    • 3+ years experience in business development, contracts, licensing or marketing.
    • Well developed research skills.
    • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
    • Strong financial background.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • General comfort in working with ambiguity.
