The Advanced Manufacturing Department is seeking a motivated intern to support our mission of integrating Technology, People, and Processes to drive world-class manufacturing results. This internship will focus primarily on Quality Systems for Manufacturing , working closely with cross-functional Operations and Technology Teams to ensure robust and sustainable technology foundations.

The intern must utilize their experience and skills to provide a hands on approach to problem solving. Strong problem-solving, investigative, and decision making skills are essential. The internship is intended to give students hands-on experience with manufacturing systems with a primary focus on Quality Systems.

Essential Functions

• Standardize and centralize Quality build files for CertainTeed Quality Management Systems (QDMS) application to improve data consistency and easier updates.
• Optimize and clean test file structures to ensure proper organization and reduce cross-references.
• Create high-level documentation to support new system deployments.
• Develop automated tools to streamline file formatting and improve usability for quality managers.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of Quality Management Systems (QDMS) in manufacturing.
• Support data analysis and reporting to drive continuous improvement in quality and process efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
• Participate in problem-solving initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
• Contribute to the Industry 4.0 and Automation Roadmap, focusing on quality-related digital transformation initiatives.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

• Must be currently enrolled in a four-year accredited degree program
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have proven planning, organization and time management skills
• Computer literate with previous knowledge of Microsoft Platform (Excel, Word, Teams, Planner). Python experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in quality systems, automation, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
