We are currently recruiting or an INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE for our eCommerce platform. This position will be responsible for selling and supporting the business segment and associated end-users accounts. This individual will also develop phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and through establishing business relationships with existing and potential customers. This role will specifically drive the eCommerce sales channel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with local sales teams and management to determine necessary strategic sales approaches within specific markets
- Maintain and expand the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database of current and prospects. All communication, customer data and sales activity to be captured within system
- Drive sales through eCommerce platform
- Manage cold-call prospects that are generated by external sources of lead. Emphasize product/service features/benefits, and overall program terms. Overcome objections and ensure follow-up by passing leads to sales teams with task generation tracking within our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database. Measure and track follow-up
- Set up and deliver sales/marketing messages through telephone and/or online methods to customers to improve their knowledge of products/offerings
- Look for opportunities to cross-sell and/or up-sell situations to gain sales commitments
- Be the conduit into the sales teams to manage any customer issue that cannot be solved via phone or online communication method. Track and close out tasks to completion
- Coordinate customer training as necessary
- Assist sales teams in managing market intelligence through external data and/or field supplied data to validate market dynamics. All data captured in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 7 years eMarketing/eSales experience in a business-to-business environment
- 3 years’ commercial or customer interfacing experience
- Practical experience in web-based marketing and digital tools (especially Google analytics and social media platforms)
- Customer service orientation and leadership/influencing skills
- Ability to navigate effectively in a changing environment where competing priorities require flexibility and agility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with all departments within the organization
- Must be detail-oriented and highly motivated
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
POSITION BENEFITS
- Employee Benefits: This position is a full-time opportunity with AkzoNobel with employee benefits that are effective the first day of employment.
- Compensation: This position will receive an annual base salary and is eligible for an annual 35% bonus.
