Summer interns will be assigned a project within a function i.e., Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, Business Development, Strategy, Tax, Audit. Projects are timely and relevant in supporting Amgens strategic and tactical goals and provide exposure to the cross-functional nature of a full-time role. Past projects have examined a potential biosimilar product entry, internal asset allocation strategies, emerging market entry strategies and improvements to sourcing and supplier management. Responsibilities for the 10-12 week internship typically include financial analysis, benchmarking, and market research to develop key strategic recommendations. Interns are given access to senior leadership through a series of lunches and are encouraged to spend the summer participating in program activities and networking with staff across the organization. In addition, interns will participate in a week-long cross-functional case study project that will expose them to different aspects of Amgens business operations.
