About This Role
You will build the US Data Visualization & Reporting capability as part of the US Data Strategy for the US Commercial Organization at Biogen. As part of the US Data team, you will enable the US Commercial digital and analytics strategies by developing data solutions that maximize the use of our data assets.
This should be achieved through:
1. Provide actionable insights as the data visualization and reporting lead
2. Deliver data and self-service analytics products and tools
3. Innovate data solutions in partnership with internal analytics stakeholders
More specifically, you will lead and develop interactive reports and dashboards, KPI/Metrics for the US Data Team (performance reporting, leadership execution reporting, etc.) for all therapeutic areas within USO.
As a partner to US Data Team, you will execute and streamline monthly reporting, lead ad hoc analytics use cases, and communicate with all TA’s to build end-to-end data management in close collaboration with stakeholders in CE&O, Finance and IT management.
As a subject-matter-expert on the US Data Team for reporting, it is expected that you continuously develop skillsets and talent to build industry-best practices for the team and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Build innovative KPIs/metrics to improving business performance through compelling insights through data, analytics, and insights.
What You’ll Do
• Develop sustainable and automated data management and reporting solutions for CE&O leadership
• Design, develop, and consult on leadership dashboards, KPIs, and metrics
• Manage operational analytics projects for CE&O data visualization and reporting projects and manage the delivery of analytics use cases through the analytics governance process
• Drive operational improvements (BI, Automation, Data Acquisition)
• Develop relationships across OneBiogen regarding best practices for visualization, self-service analytics and provide training and guidance to support for agile development and self-service model
Who You Are
You love data and analytics and are passionate about maximizing the use of repeatable datasets to drive key business decisions. You are operationally minded and tactical and like to drive work through collaboration.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5-8 years combined experience in commercial data and analytics in pharmaceuticals
• 3-5 years Power BI analytics and relevant SQL skills for data aggregation to join disparate datasets from data warehouse
• Strong data engineering skills to develop BI layer data models, Data Visualization and Self-Service Analytics reports, design scalable methodologies, etc.
• Strong knowledge of reporting via centralized, CRM-type business information systems such as Veeva or equivalent
Preferred Skills
• Data modeling with pharma/Biotech Experience Desirable
• Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles and how to operationalize concepts through data-based decision making, root cause and failure mode analysis.
• Working knowledge of data management via Snowflake, Alteryx or Denodo or equivalent
• Working knowledge of data governance topics and tools (Axon, EDC)
