    Job Description

    As the Epidemiology Research Manager, you will support the Global Analytics and Data Sciences (ADS) epidemiologists in the design, implementation and reporting of internal research projects and in addition will provide administrative management for the group. You will report to a Director, Epidemiology, with a dotted line to the Senior Director, Epidemiology.

    As the Epidemiology Research Manager, you must be flexible and able to adjust to the flow of the projects.  

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:  

    • Critical reviews of epidemiologic literature; systematically review and prepare critical summaries.  Disseminate to responsible epidemiologist or directly to stakeholders under the guidance of the lead epidemiologist.  Manage the production of Epidemiology Packages.  If done internally, perform search for relevant literature, write first draft of literature review, generate protocol for database studies, format package for distribution.  If the literature review portion is outsourced, provide protocol, track timelines for delivery, review the output, and deliver to the lead epidemiologist. 
    • Assist in the design of internal database studies. Ability to create research protocols, analysis plans, and reports.  Work directly with the data analysts for execution of database study protocols.  Assist in preparing scientific abstracts, posters, and manuscripts as needed.
    • Analyses in national databases (i.e. SEER, NHANES, NHDS) to provide background rates of outcomes of interest.  Prepare spreadsheets and reports.
    • Manage administrative tasks, including the Epi SharePoint Site and Project Tracker, as needed.  May be required to provide metrics.
    • Once given a task, this position requires a self-starter and creative latitude.  Work should be delivered to the responsible epidemiologist in a form that requires only a high-level review at that point.  Depending on the request, this position may generate a report independently and communicate directly with stakeholders after review by the lead epidemiologist.

    An MPH (or similar degree) and pre/post-graduate experience working in epidemiology group in industry is required
