    Job Description

    This is for a 12-week internship position from June – August 2021.

    The candidate care team consistently provides excellent recruitment support to candidates, hiring teams and the recruiters. They interact with all Biogen business units by owning the management of several processes related to interview scheduling, background checks and offer letter generation. The candidate care team strives to provide a positive candidate experience and customer focus through working with stakeholders and abiding by established service level agreements. This includes being accountable of owning changes to systems/processes and effectively promoting and educating these processes to the business. The goal is for candidates to have a consistent and well-organized interview process that leaves them with a positive impression of Biogen and its people. The team displays urgency and professionalism in their communications to build strong partnerships with the different teams they interact with. The team is under the Talent Attraction team where they interact with university relations, recruitment marketing and sourcing teams. The team also maintains a strong partnership with the Talent Acquisition Operations team to support successful hiring.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The Recruitment Support Intern supports the Talent Acquisition team across all areas of recruiting and internal staffing. He or she will report into the Manager of the Candidate Care team and will be a member of the Talent Acquisition team. This individual will work closely with multiple recruiters and provide high-level support for the talent acquisition process at Biogen. As such, he or she will play an instrumental role for assisting the recruiters in meeting very robust hiring goals for the client.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Arranging pre-screening and face to face interview arrangements and logistics between candidates and recruiters, managers, and interview teams.
    • Assisting the recruiter with tracking candidates throughout the life cycle of the hiring process by maintaining candidate status within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    • Monitor and adjudicate Pre- Employment Screening for all finalist candidates
    • Processing candidate expenses and ensuring compliance to travel guidelines
    • Assist with talent attraction projects such as university relations, sourcing and recruitment marketing initiatives

    The recruitment support intern will establish relationships with the following stakeholders:

    • Recruiting Partner – to ensure close collaboration throughout the entire recruitment process; point of escalation for issues
    • Hiring Managers and interview teams – to support all interview scheduling needs and ensuring managers and other interviewers are aware of scheduled interviews and any related changes and logistics
    • Candidates – to support their candidate experience throughout the process in a highly professional manner; and
    • Department Administrative Assistants – to engage them to assist with interview scheduling logistics and hand offs.

    To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
    • Grade point average of 3.2 or higher preferred
    • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
    • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

    EDUCATION

    Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program, preferably in an HR program
