    Summer Intern Biostatistics and Data Sciences Statistician Description: BoehringerIngelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Biostatisticsand Data Sciences (BDS) departmentlocated at our Ridgefield, Connecticut facility. As an Intern, you will workwith a senior- level statistician on a statistical research project related tothe pharmaceutical industry and clinical trials. Potential topics may includesurvival analysis, Bayesian methods, dose-finding, etc. with applications tooncology, immunology, cardiology, respiratory, or central nervous systemdisorders. Interns are expected to present the results of their research at theend of the program and may have the opportunity to summarize their work in apeer-reviewed publication. Ourcompetitive compensation and benefit programs reflect Boehringer Ingelheim'shigh regard for our employees Duties & Responsibilities: * Work with asenior-level statistician on a statistical research project related to thepharmaceutical industry and clinical trials * Present yourresearch results at the end of the program * May have theopportunity to summarize your work in a peer-reviewed publication _ _ Requirements: * Must be a graduate student in fields related to statistics,biostatistics, data science, computer science, epidemiology, public health ormathematics with good academic standing (cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0,on 4.0 scale) * Must have completed 12 credit hours on a related majorand/or other related coursework * M.S. or Ph.D. candidate with at least 2 years of study * DesiredExperience, Skills and Abilities: * Good written and oral communications skills stronglypreferred * Demonstrated proficiency in conducting statisticalanalyses using SAS or R **EligibilityRequirements: ** * Must be legally authorized to work in the United Stateswithout restriction. * Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offerphysical (if required) * Must be 18 years of age or older Our Culture: Boehringer Ingelheim is one of the worlds top 20pharmaceutical companies and operates globally with approximately 50,000employees.
