    The business function:

    The US Defense organization is tasked with keeping fleets flying around the world by providing mission critical services to government & defense customers. Our team is uniquely global, dynamically led, and critically important to the financial performance of Rolls-Royce. We serve customers around the globe and collaborate with teammates across North America, Europe, and the Middle East to deliver.     What you will do:

    The selected candidate will have the opportunity to l ead various improvement & delivery projects across the US-based Defense Organization. We will tailor projects based on applicant strengths & interests to ensure they will have the opportunity to work on real, timely business initiatives.

    Here are some of the areas where your projects could make an impact: supply chain delivery, customer management, project management, contract negotiations, financial planning, forecasting, operations management, continuous improvement & lean six sigma, application of management theory.

    Candidates will be able to/have:

    • Strong communication skills with both leaders and peers (e.g., digital, verbal, written, visual)
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Evidence of applying critical thinking skills and ability to analyze, solve problems, plan, as well as make sound decisions to deliver tasks
    • Experience collaborating with a team or working independently, contributing to and delivering the team goals

    Relevant Majors: Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics or similar analytical background. Open to considering candidates of all backgrounds who can help the team solve complex business problems in a technical, regulated environment.

    Standing/Graduation eligibility: Successful candidate will be attending working towards a degree at a four-year institution and returning to classes after the internship.

    Preferred GPA: 3.0 or greater (4.0 scale) or equivalent

    Work Authorization Eligibility: U.S. Citizen. There is no sponsorship for this role.
