    Job Description

    A detail oriented and data driven Business Intelligence Analyst with expertise in PowerBI and Smartsheet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming data into insights that drive business decisions. Work closely with various departments to gather data requirements, create reports and dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and accessibility.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Data Analysis and Reporting:

      • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other reporting solutions using Smartsheet and PowerBI.
      • Create and manage Smartsheet solutions for project tracking, reporting, and workflow automation.
      • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into PowerBI and Smartsheet.
    • Collaboration:

      • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reporting solutions meet business needs.
      • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data integrity and security.
    • Technical Expertise:

      • Utilize Smartsheet and PowerBI to create interactive and user friendly dashboards.
      • Use Smartsheet for project management, process automation, and collaborative work management.
      • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and reporting purposes.
    • Continuous Improvement:

      • Identify opportunities to improve existing Smartsheet and BI processes and tools.
      • Stay current with the latest BI trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with PowerBI.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Smartsheet.
    • Proven experience in data analysis, report creation, and data visualization.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX, Power Query, and PowerBI Service.
    • Strong knowledge of Smartsheet features and capabilities.
    • Experience with SQL and database management.
    • Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.

    Soft Skills:

    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Detail oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy.

    • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
    • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
    • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan.
