    Job Description

    CHROMALLOY NEW YORK is seeking a Mgr Logistics who will be responsible for managing all shipping and receiving of gas turbine hardware per regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: (And other duties, as assigned)

    • TEAM MANAGEMENT/ TALENT DEVELOPMENT: Manage a team of 8 direct labor & 2 salaried employees. Define focused team objectives that have measurable contributions towards achieving overall business and organizational goals.  Establish and execute development plans to eliminate single point failures and provide a robust succession plan.   
    • PLANNING AND IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES: Lead continual improvement activities for accountable processes.  Engage other functional groups as required (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Customer Support).
    • COMPLIANCE ASSURANCE: Accountable for team compliance to approved procedures, and customer requirements.
    • SHIPPING: Accountable for adherence to standard packaging procedures, export filing and control, scrap control procedures, and outside service coordination.
    • RECEIVING: Accountable for incoming part number and serial number inspection procedures, ERP order entry and release transactions/maintenance, and required document retention.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance, Information Technology, or Engineering)

    • At least three years of leadership experience

    • Experience utilizing basic lean manufacturing tools within area of responsibility to achieve sustained improvements

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle, AS400 ERP software, and UPS/FEDEX shipping software

    • Experience with export control and compliance processes

    • Act as a Chromalloy values positive role model

    • Build strong professional relationships through communication

    • Demonstrated ability to lead others, either as direct reports or in a matrix setting
