    Job Description

    This application is for a 6-month student role from January - June 2025. Resume review begins in October 2024.

    The Maintenance Reliability team support the manufacturing of therapeutics that transforms patients’ lives by ensuring a framework is in place to maintain and optimize critical equipment and systems to operate reliably and efficiently throughout their useful life. The Ideal candidate will collaborate with the Maintenance Reliability team to gather key data for optimizing the asset register in the CMMS and inventory management system. They will also assist with end-of life assessments and help analyze equipment performance to identify opportunities for reliability improvement.

    This role will offer cross-functional collaboration with various engineering and technical teams. Additionally, this role provides exposure to cutting-edge biotechnology equipment and world class Maintenance and Reliability practices. They will also gain valuable experience of working in a GMP-regulated facility enhancing their technical and problem-solving skills.

    Position Description

    • Work under the supervision of a Sr Reliability Engineer within Biogen’s Maintenance Reliability Team.
    • Perform tasks to support the development of the Maintenance Reliability framework
    • Verify and update equipment attributes

    Example projects may include:

    • Verification of equipment and inventory status
    • Capturing of missing equipment information
    • End/Extension of Life
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proficient in MS office programs & Technical Writing
    • Self-Starter with good communication skills and willingness to learn new skills.
    • Attention to detail

    To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
    • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
    • Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university

    Education

    • Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies prior to scheduled start date.
    • Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering disciplines.

    • This role is on-site in Research Triangle Park, NC
