Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Contract Manager with expertise in construction and real estate finance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and financial management, with the ability to manage various aspects of the accounting process. The candidate will be the liaison between different departments within the organization including finance, accounting, legal, real estate and procurement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile monthly job cost report, budgeting and forecasting models
Oversee and review consultant and contractor billings with project managers to assure accuracy
Review project contracts and additional requests to understand the financial requirements on each project
Manage risk management compliance thru lien waiver processes and insuring all insurance is current
Process and maintain purchase orders and contractor payments
Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Provide support during audits, including gathering documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned
Review and process contractor change orders
Ensure project close-out procedures and documentation are complete
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance preferred
Minimum of 5 years in a construction real estate accounting or related role
Familiar with multiple reporting tools including Microsoft Office, Oracle ERP
Knowledge of real estate finance principles, including project financing, budgeting and forecasting
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a collaborative environment
