    Rockwell Automation’s Technical Sales & Consulting Program is a world-class, multi-month training program consisting of a combination of sales, technical and professional training that take place in both classroom and on-the-job settings. Join a cohort of peers from all over the world and embark on a journey to become a trusted outcome-based seller. After completion of the training program, Associates are placed in one of our field sales offices across North America.

    Technology Consultant:

    Our NA Sales team prioritizes our customers’ needs and our employees’ success. The position of Technology Consultant is crucial to our organization. As a member of our Domain Expert team, you will build relationships with the world’s producers and work in partnership with customers, OEMs, systems integrators, and industry partners to solve unique challenges in industry. The Technology Consultant is a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s) of expertise, capable of articulating capability and benefits of our portfolio to customers. They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. When required, the Technology Consultant will assist in commercial marketing activities, interface with p roduct b usiness u nits, be the p oint of contact for product and quality issues, provide post sales troubleshooting when needed, and act as a local interface with Tech Support.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Drive growth in a strategic focus area. Develop your technical and commercial competency to accelerate our success in Automation, Information & Analytics, Intelligent Devices, Mechatronics, Power & Motion, or Process.

    • Become the subject matter expert that our customers need. You will become deeply knowledgeable in your area of focus including identifying and articulating potential use cases, technical requirements, and competitive differentiation

    • Sell value, not features. Our customers need more from our domain experts than just a bill of materials. You will build your business acumen to be able to articulate the business outcomes and return on investment that our technology can provide.

    • Leverage a community. Sometimes even the expert needs help. You will always have a team of senior domain experts and commercial engineers across the globe available to support you in your selling engagements.

    • Enable our salesforce. Cooperate with and train the salesforce and our partners in promoting your product focus to customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests and/or similar activities

    SKILLS YOU HAVE

    • Demonstrates enthusiasm for relationship building and partnership across the organization at all levels.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

    • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

    • Must be location flexible

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or our customers

    • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Software or Chemical Engineering or Computer Science.

    • Demonstrated record of interpersonal skills and leadership ability

    • Previous co-op or intern experience in manufacturing, product marketing, or customer-facing role
