The Manufacturing Engineer performs various professional level engineering duties in a variety of engineering and scientific disciplines. There is an emphasis on supporting the company’s products and processes related to system/component design, development, manufacturing and testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies engineering and scientific principles in such technical fields as mechanics, electronics, flight technology, structures, chemistry, metallurgy, mathematics, and computer science.
- May conduct or participate in portions of studies, investigations or analyses involving reliability, predictability, value engineering; or quality assurance problems including hardware and software projects.
- Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other related documents.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, dispositioning non-conforming hardware, and providing root cause and corrective action.
- Responsible for creating product work instructions and being the technical lead for production hardware.
Required Skills
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal, across functional areas.
- CAD experience in both modeling and drawings, SolidWorks preferred
- Analysis skills using Excel, Minitab and other software tools
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Drives for results to establish Root Cause & Positive Corrective Actions
- Continuously strives to improve processes & techniques
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related field required. 5-8 years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with test equipment, measuring equipment, materials and material treatment is preferred
- Mechanical, Mechatronics/Electro-Mechanical manufacturing background is preferred
- Small run custom manufacturing/assembly experience preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available
- Must be a US Citizen or be a US Permanent Residence Card Holder
