What’s the job?

The individual will assist in a variety of activities including:

• Maintenance engineering (equipment, procedures)
• Project engineering & management
• Equipment reliability studies and improvement projects
• Predictive and preventative maintenance
• Process and Quality projects
• EHS projects

Required Qualifications

What do you bring?

• 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Engineering student
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated
• Able to work with minimal direction and supervision
• Excellent computer skills
• Function well in a team environment
• Grasp concepts and develop them into detail to execute projects
• Undergraduate degree, preferably in Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or Business.
• Participative, hands-on, industrial, practical leader in a union industrial manufacturing environment by leading by example
• Two years of related EHS experience in a manufacturing/production operation.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority
• Must have good communication and presentation skills. Must have computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Professional certifications in the areas of Safety/Risk Management and Environmental/Regulatory Compliance are strongly desired. (e.g., CSP, CHMM, etc)
• Working knowledge of OSHA and Worker’s Compensation and Workers Compensation Claims Management.
• Working knowledge of Environmental Regulations (environmental concepts/issues, air quality management, waste management, environmental management tools, environmental liability management).
• Facilitator or training skills, along with computer proficiency in MS Office.
• Must be a self-starter and team player
• Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Flexible and open-minded with excellent written and oral communication
• Proficient using computers and Microsoft Office Suite
