be." Our Interiors Division is looking for a Industrial Engineer to be
based at its Techno Plant in Louisville, KY. Position Summary: The
Industrial Program Engineer (IPE) is responsible for the
industrialization of the Program from business award to gate 4 closure.
The IPE is to provide operational support on key Industrial Development
activities that are necessary for a successful product launch. S(he)
contributes actively to the accomplishment of Industrial Development
work packages all along the Program and is involved in the approval
process of Process Development activities upstream. The IPE is
responsible for the activities associated with the program
industrialization within the plant and is responsible to meet the
manufacturing targets identified by the plant program Responsibilities:
INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT Active contribution to the accomplishment of all
Industrial Development activities of the Program: * Contribute to all
Industrial Development work packages with a direct reporting line to the
Industrial Program Manager: industrial footprint, Plant equipment
selection (new / reuse / share), Plant layout, MIFD / MIFA, industrial
trials * Starting from phase 3, participate in activities to ensure HSE
and ergonomic convergence in the Plant * Support the head of Industrial
Development on the definition of the Industrial Development support team
- Participate in Make or Buy studies * Implements any relevant lessons
learned from similar programs * Monitors and tracks production
equipment, materials, and parts based on product specifications,
develops/implements product quality standards, and maintains equipment
tracker. * Transfers of re-use equipment from other plants * Creates and
tracks Purchase Order Request (POR) for any capital expenditure needed
for program industrialization. * Carries out all industrial tasks,
following the customers milestones, as well as the Program Management
System (PMS). PROCESS DEVELOPMENT Involvement in the approval of some
Process Development activities such as: * HSE and ergonomic convergence
until GR2b * Participates in the design, development, and validation of
new equipment and manufacturing processes. * Supports the review and
validation of product/process design for manufacturability *
Collaborates with the engineering team to ensure product & process
optimization, following the 20 Lean Design guidelines. * Creates and
updates the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), ensures that the
Key Control Characteristics (KCC) are appropriate, and the process &
equipment capabilities targets are achieved PRODUCTION LAUNCH Active
contributions to specific launch activities, such as: * Completion of
the Industrial Development support team with required resources
(internal / external) * Coordination of the installation and launch of
production equipment and tooling * Production support during the ramp-up
after the handover * Implements all relevant FES principles and FIS
technical standards. * Supports the implementation of new processes into
plant. * Ensure equipment readiness & convergence actions are managed
(scrap, cycle time, work content, breakdowns) * Works with the program
team to properly evaluate feasibility & cost for all product & process
modifications. Ensures that product modifications will not have a
negative impact on product manufacturing. * Implements solutions that
improve the program industrial performance and reduce costs, following
the current corporate methods and rules such as: level of investment,
direct productivity, scrap, plant layout definition, internal/external
MIFA/MIFD, lead time and logistic cost * Participate in PMS reviews as
required * Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness
to adhere to Faurecias Code of Ethics and Code of Management The ideal
candidate will have/be: * Knowledge / Skills: * Relevant technical
skills on industrial/manufacturing products and processes * Ability to
work in a cross functional environment. * Ability to communicate with
the program core team, the plant, the Technical experts (GTS), and the
equipment suppliers. * Open-minded, driven by continuous improvement *
Emotional intelligence, ability to influence & create cross department
networks * Ability to deal with conflict & ambiguity * Travel : 20%
required * English required Education / Experience: * 3 to 5 years of
experience in production or program launch, including manufacturing,
engineering, quality or logistics position. * Familiar with Faurecia
Excellence System or similar lean production systems * Bachelor degree
desired in business / engineering or relevant technical certification or
