THE PROGRAM:
You will be an integral part of the Finance team by providing monthly financial variance analysis, identifying opportunities and hazards, as well as supporting initiatives to improve the performance of the business and finance function. You will also experience the challenges of learning a large and complex organization. The exposure to all the various functions and function heads makes this opportunity very exciting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
This team supports the Defence sector, which is a complex and engaging business. The team interacts with various programs within RR Defence, so it is highly visible. It is a supportive role by handling aspects of billing, cost center management, ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and journal entries across the Defence business in the US. The scope of the role can be expanded and cross various functions.
As a Finance Analyst, you could be involved in the following:
Providing process improvement opportunities on current processes that have many manual steps
Ensuring current processes are documented and in line with group requirements & policies
Researching and reviewing accounting issues and providing recommendations & support
Improving financial processes and maintaining their alignment with associated processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
The ideal candidate will have (demonstrate) the following:
Experience with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and PPT
Demonstrate how to identify a problem
Demonstrate written and oral communication to a variety of audiences
Detailed Orientated
RELEVANT MAJORS: Finance or Accounting
STANDING/GRADUATION ELIGIBILITY: Candidate will be pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in a relevant major applicable to the role.
MINIMUM GPA: 3.0
WORK AUTHORIZATION ELIGIBILITY: Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. There is no sponsorship for the role.
