    Job Description

    The Finance Manager supporting the Transformation Management Office (TMO) on the Corporate FP&A team has a pivotal role responsible for ensuring that the Transformation programs drive financial impact. This role is required to understand the business drivers, key performance indicators of the business, highlight financial trends that could hinder or accelerate financial impact, and partner with business finance partners to build business cases. This role serves as a prime source of financial information provided to senior management to communicate the financial impact of the Transformation work.

    This role requires a candidate with advanced Excel and data storytelling skills, a knack for high-level presentations, outstanding organizational abilities, excellent communication & collaboration skills, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate should have a strong financial or broad business background, be resourceful, and excel in creating structure from ambiguity.

    Work Location: Deerfield, IL - Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office)

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    What you will be doing

    • Collaborate with TMO leadership to enhance cross-functional alignment and effectiveness.
    • Review business cases for initiatives at relevant stages. Partner with workstream finance resources to ensure consistent approach to valuation impact and business case assumptions.
    • Highlight developing financial trends which could hinder or accelerate financial impact and work collaboratively to devise solutions.
    • Perform financial tracking of progress against commitments (both value delivery and timing).
    • Communicate the financial impact of the Transformation programs.
    • Manage project communications and status reporting, including the tracking of program performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Own development of scorecards, tracking, and data visualization of progress and results.
    • Act as a representative of the TMO, gathering information and facilitating efficient decision-making processes. Assist in prioritization, brainstorming, and identifying solutions to challenges.
    • Support SVP Transformation in preparation of Steering Committee and board of directors’ presentations.
    • Establish and operationalize templates and reporting mechanisms to ensure streamlined operations.
    • Collaborate with the corporate FP&A team on enterprise-wide planning, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and modeling.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or related field required.
    • 7-10 years of experience in finance, business, or related field required. 10+ years of experience preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to navigate complex financial models and data.
    • Exceptional data storytelling and advanced PowerPoint skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and experience in establishing new processes.
    • Resourceful with a proactive attitude and the ability to work in ambiguous situations.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s Degree preferred.
    • Oracle ERP or SAP experience preferred
    • Experience in corporate FP&A, strategic finance, or enterprise-wide financial planning a plus.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with Corporate FP&A, business unit finance, and executive leadership to align financial insights with corporate strategy a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to synthesize financial and operational insights into strategic recommendations for executive leadership preferred.
    • Experience mentoring or leading teams is a plus, with potential for direct reports in the future.
    • Background in finance or broad business knowledge preferred.

    Additional Information

    Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
