Process Engineer: Photolithography Job ID 8028 Company Finisar Corporation Job Location Allen, TX Job Category Engineering Min Education Bachelor's Degree Join the team as we build and start manufacturing in our new facility in Sherman, Texas where we will produce vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) used in Apples iPhone camera to allow features such as Face ID, Animoji and Portrait mode selfies. What are VCSELs? Its an acronym that is pronounced vixels they are small semiconductor devices that emit light vertically and enable 3D sensing. KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide engineering support for the different process steps of photolithography in the manufacture of VCSELs - improve the process, enhance the yields, reduce the cycle time, reduce the scraps. Provide sustaining engineering support for photolithography equipment, steppers, aligners, coaters, tracks, metrology tools, etc. Lead process development activities when appropriate and assist in the specification of new equipment and processes when required. Be an active member of the team that collaborates with design engineering, logistics, integration and quality engineering to develop process documentation, process control plans, and production control requirements to ensure the effective and efficient transfer of wafers to high volume manufacturing. SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Three to five years technical experience in semiconductor processing in photolithography. Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge on steppers, contact aligners, coat/develop equipment, related metrology tools required. Experience with Canon steppers, TEL coat/develop equipment, contact aligners, IVS measurement tools is preferred. Education BS in relevant engineering or scientific field (e.g., EE, ME) or equivalent knowledge/experience in this field is required. Skills Strong interpersonal/teaming skills, able to communicate effectively with employees from all levels of the organization. Fluency with Six Sigma methodology/tools such as Root Cause Analysis, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, and Design of Experiments JMP and MS Project experience a plus The successful candidate will have a high attention to detail Strong written communication (memos) and verbal communications skills (listening, making presentations). The successful candidate will be innovative, use statistical thinking in decision-making, and be self-motivated, influential and persistent.
