ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service times.
- Perform maintenance technician skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, machinery assembly drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose process and machinery problems utilizing root cause failure analysis techniques, replace or repair equipment parts, test and make adjustments as required.
- Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, basic shop machinery, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Electrical Skills - AC Systems
- Ability to read/interpret electrical prints
- Wire simple 110V 1-phase, 220V-3 phase, 480V 3-phase circuits
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits
Electrical Skills - DC Systems
- Ability to read/interpret electrical prints
- Wire simple 12V or 24V circuits
- Wire photo-eye or proximity sensors
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits with sensors
Pneumatic Skills
- Understand operation of 2, 3, and 4-way valves
- Understand operation of single/double acting cylinders
Mechanical Skills
- Replace gearboxes and motors
- Replace bearings and chain drives
- Basic conveyor adjustment
Additional Skills Needed
- PLC programming experience
- Basic PLC input/output wiring
- Atlas Copco DC Tool experience
- Machining
- Welding/Fabrication
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS TEST WILL BE ADMINISTERED AFTER THE INTERVIEWS
Required Skills
- High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance and HVAC applications preferred.
Required Experience
- 4+ years of maintenance technician experience with strong analysis and repair skills in: electrical ac/dc systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical applications, power transmission systems, fluid mechanics/properties, tubing and hosing applications, operation of mobile equipment, and machine safe guarding.
- PLC and ladder logic design/troubleshooting
- Robot teach point and programming code understanding
