Administrative Assistant Job Description: Venator, previously known as Huntsman Pigments & Additives is currently recruiting for a Administrative Assistant to join its growing team at our Freeport, TX facility. JOB PURPOSE This position is responsible for coordinating in/out bound shipments for the site. Also provides administrative support across the site and functions as the site receptionist. Job responsibilities include: * Welcomes visitors and guests. Notifies appropriate party of their arrival * Answers phones and directs caller to appropriate person * Orders all materials for the site (exception raws). Selects pre-approved vendor and maintains vendor relationships * Schedules shipments with carriers, prepares documentation and notifies carriers of issues * Coordinates visiting contractors to the facility. Informs the appropriate party of the visit and files required documentation and or permits. * Maintains site posting areas, coordinates random drug testing and helps coordinate site events. * Prepares weekly and monthly reports * Reports all required clerical documentation to accounting team on daily basis * Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. * Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. * Assists other employees in accomplishments of Venator company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. * Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
