    Michelin is hiring! We are looking for an IS Manager to join our company in a pipeline mission and be a key player in our IT team.

    Overview

    This is a development role to train an incumbent thus that they can be deployed to a production site when the need arises. At the end of the pipeline period (timing varies) the incumbent must be prepared to be deployed to any of the US production sites.

    The RIS pipeline position was created to prepare the incumbent for an assignment in IS management at a US production site. The role is required to handle the availability and performance of IT functions within a site (server, network, end-user devices, applications, software, telephony, computer room, etc.) to ensure required service levels are met. In addition, the role manages and optimizes local IT resources (people and technology) and is responsible for the implementation of information systems and the corresponding measures required regarding security for an industrial site.

    Our headquarters is in Greenville, SC, conveniently located within driving distance to east coast beaches, the Blue Ridge Mountains and large cities like Atlanta and Charlotte. The mild climate, charming downtown, and impressive culinary scene are just a few of the perks of living here. You will be based in Greenville to train and build your network to then be deployed to one of our multiple manufacturing facilities.

    What you'll do

    Activities while in Pipeline Position:

    • Mentor under ISRM; Learn IT including processes, operational model, Infrastructure, and Applications
    • Participate in IT incident resolution sessions involving the appropriate IT resources whenever necessary
    • Join, help and learn about the RIS Functional Managers Network
    • Rotate on call duties with operations team (GOSM)
    • Shadow at sites with various RIS managers to learn the industrial plant environment

    Activities when in RIS Position:

    • Ensure materials, software and IT services of the manufacturing site are in accordance with the technical standards and of security of the Group and are managed according to the IT processes
    • Ensure inventory of hardware and software is up to date
    • Ensure maintenance of equipment, software and business applications is defined and applied (including security patching)
    • Execution of the FGSR and AGSR (Group Security Rules) including the delivery of Cyber Security solutions
    • Participate in IT incident resolution sessions as an active member of the RIS network
    • Escalate to the ISRM or appropriate management of an issue or potential issue
    • Look and propose ways to improve and optimize the IT operations at the site. Understand impacts of IT roadmap for the site
    • Ensure the IT functions allocated are aligned with local business requirements and with the global IT strategy
    • Coach and guide the development of the local IT teams (site and OSS)
    • Provide training, support, advice and guidance to local plant personnel
    • The services to the users of the site are supplied in the respect of service contracts

    What you'll bring

    • A diverse set of technical skills in a variety of IT topics to support an industrial plant
    • Good organizational and communication skills with ability to work with the central IT team
    • Must have the ability to foster teamwork and build trust within Manufacturing and IT teams

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Information Systems or related technical field required.
    • At least 3 years of IT related experience is required.
    • Knowledge of server and network (LAN/Wi-Fi) technologies is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and M365.
    • Must be mobile. Requires travel of up to 25% of the time to support and learn the RIS network.
