  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    This position is responsible for ensuring that the building of products follows the appropriate work instructions, drawings, and equipment settings and all required testing is completed in order to meet or exceed the specifications of our customer.

    • Work with the leads, process coordinators, and fellow cleanroom personnel to ensure that all SOPs and work instructions are being followed in the manufacturing and the assembly of products.
    • Offer ideas for continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
    • Verify that all components pulled coincide with the picklist in the device history record, and that all lot numbers on the components match the lot number on the device history record
    • Verify that the customer drawing and the Eng. Drwg. (when applicable) match the batch record.
    • Verify the product meets customer requirements by performing a first-piece inspection on each step of the production process.
    • Verify and record all machine set-ups are correct (when applicable).
    • Properly complete all required paperwork.
    • Verify all required testing has been completed during and at the end of each shift as defined in SOPs.
    • Completing 100% visual final inspections verifying assemblies are meeting the customer expectations.
    • Fill in for the Quality Inspectors in their absence.
    • Verify that non-conforming product has been scrapped or re-worked.
    • Assist in coaching team members in quality decisions.
    • Work closely with Lead, Process-Coordinators and Quality inspectors in quality decisions. Verify packaging is correct before sending product out of the cleanroom (i.e. no F/M in pouches, labeled properly, pouches sealed etc.).

    Required Qualifications

    • Have good communication skills written and verbal when addressing quality issues with the leads, process coordinators, quality inspectors and production associates.
    • Able to do visual inspections at a distance 12” to 18 “on a light table, measuring, and verifying assemblies are essential to job.
    • Able to read and understand all SOPs and work instructions required in the manufacturing and inspection of all products in order to meet or exceed customer expectations.
    • Know how to read and understand blueprints.
    • Must be able to read a Tappi Chart in order to meet acceptable inspection criteria for Gel, carbons, and loose foreign material.
    • Must be able to read a tape measures and verify job layouts
    • Able to operate effectively as part of a team working with the Leads, Production Personnel, Process Coordinators, Quality Inspector, Manufacturing Engineers, Engineering, Warehouse, Scheduling and the Quality Manager.
    • Able to make quality decisions with limited assistance and understand where to go if unsure.
    • Must be able to review product labels using the customer and engineering drawings.

    Additional Description

    Prior Manufacturing of Disposable Bio-Processing Containers or Manufacturing Inspection Experience is preferred.
