    Job Description

    POSITION TITLE: Inventory Analyst – Konecranes Hoist Americas (KHA)

    ** Job Summary**

    Manage all aspects of inventory control and accuracy of inventories, including forecasting mythologies, inventory processes, inventory obsolescence and inventory returns to ensure on time delivery and reduce stock-outs.

    Position Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to develop and execute forecasting plans.
    2. Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting.
    3. Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions. Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy.
    4. Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
    5. Coordinate and work with purchasing, engineering and production to consume or dispose of obsolete inventory through the purchasing action request (PAR) and the excess and slow-moving inventory (ESMI) review process.
    6. Monitor warehouse transfers for accuracy and cost effectiveness.
    7. Monitors inventory returns, provides reporting, and ensures quick returns to inventory.
    8. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Position Requirements**

    • A four-year college degree related to the job description or related experience to the job description.
    • 3 to 5 years of materials experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of inventory management best practices including ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
    • Knowledge SAP system and associated purchasing and inventory modules.
    • APICS certification a plus.
