    Job Description

    The Inventory Control Manager ensures all locations are properly managing inventory to maximize profits and customer service. This position consults company representatives on proper business practices in inventory management and inventory operations including prevention, identification, and disposition of excess inventory. Furthermore, the Inventory Data Analyst is a change agent for promoting new inventory disciplines and culture. In addition, this position will work with cross functional teams to develop new programs to increase operational efficiencies based on studies of past, present, and future data trends. This position at times with work with sales and directly with customers to resolve inventory discrepancies and ageing warehouse practices.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Requires 5-7 years of store and warehouse operations experience preferred
    • Ability to analyze large datasets and determine actionable results
    • Ability to maintain strong working relationship with store operations and warehouse operations
    • Previous management experience desired
    • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL experience a plus
    • NetSuite and/or RTP experience is a plus
    • APICS certification a plus

    Supervision Given and Received

    Supervision Given : Exercises direct supervision over the Inventory Control Analyst. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Supervision Received : Works under direct supervision of the Finance Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
    • No adverse or hazardous conditions
    • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
