    Transportation Analyst Operations USA-TN-Knoxville/en-US/GLOBAL/job/USA-TN-Knoxville/Transportation-Analyst-Operations_778131-1/applyTransportation Analyst Operations Job Description Scope: Perform tasks requiring an understanding of transportation/distribution concepts and the impact of transportation on Kimberly-Clarks business. Develop an understanding of KC transportation and distribution strategies. Use current and developing knowledge to make independent judgments and decisions related to coordinating domestic and international shipments. Position may be assigned to support specific mills/plants, carriers or central transportation team. Primary Responsibilities: Ensure lowest cost transportation solutions by analyzing company amp; customer needs, researching transportation methods and reviewing carrier costs and performance Utilize transportation computer systems and reporting to analyze data and initiate plans to ensure key performance metrics are met at minimum transportation cost Develop and communicate in an accurate and timely manner, including information related to customer shipments, freight flows, transportation costs, order volume, carrier capability and related issues supporting daily operations Establish effective relationships with both internal/external customers and partners understanding their business needs and sensitivities Make balanced decisions which effectively drives cost and service results in line with objectives Interpret laws, rules and regulations regarding shipping Compile information on routes, rates and services for various vendors and customers Utilize problem solving methods to identify opportunities and drive sustainable savings to the Enterprise or improve service results Communicate fully with leaders, peers and other internal and external customers and suppliers. Communication should be informative, timely, clear and concise Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
