- Act as key point of contact for Furniture customers/end users – maintaining a detailed working knowledge of each of the key account agreements, standards programs and contracts. All information is updated and recorded in Salesforce.com.
- Work collaboratively with:
- The Field Sales Managers, A&D reps, and Territory Managers across the geographic areas to establish successful team selling opportunities, and to help manage and track projects and ensure customer coverage/contact at the regional and local level.
- Marketing, Design, Pricing, and Supply Teams at headquarters to help design customer programs to drive profitable growth
- Marketing and Design Teams to deliver new designs to customers as early as possible, and to manage and allocate budgets and samples appropriately across customers
- Coordinate sample requests for Furniture customers.
- Work with NAM on projects to enhance revenue with existing customers and initiating lead generation for new customers. Participate in strategic trade shows, etc. as directed by the NAM.
- Coordinate the timely completion of Furniture customer requests for proposal on an account or project basis.
- Identify and develop new lead opportunities within existing accounts and new potential customers through the interaction both directly with the target clients as well as influencing affiliates.
Utilize a pre-call planning and post call follow-up approach to all customer activity, and document activity in Salesforce.com; ensure activity is accurate and up-to-date
- Identify and understand competitive landscape, inclusive of product and distribution and actively share these findings appropriately
- Assist in accurate preparation of monthly demand forecasts as well as structured and ad hoc market reports, and performance tracking to deliver/exceed the sales plan monthly, quarterly and annually
Maintain current product and program knowledge – both Formica and competitive information – to effectively present Formica programs and products to customers to close sales; use facts, data, and information to effectively overcome barriers to close sales
